Dan McCarthy E.T. Poster for Alamo Drafthouse ‘Summer of ’82′ Event

 

Germaine over at SlashFilm broke the news of the killer new Dan McCarthy movie poster with E.T. as the subject.

Here are the details:
Tickets for the first screening, Conan the Barbarian, go on sale Tuesday morning along with a limited number of passes that’ll get you into eight of the screenings. Second, the series has expanded significantly, adding films such as The Dark Crystal, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Vice Squad, The Secret of Nimh, Friday the 13th Part 3, Q: The Winged Serpent, Pink Floyd: The Wall and more. Third, Blade Runner will not be screened (bummer).
And finally, in accordance with the /Film sponsored screening of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial on June 8 (tickets on sale May 25) they’re proud to exclusively debut the Mondo poster for the film by artist Dan McCarthy.


Here’s McCarthy’s Mondo poster for E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. The blue is the regular and yellow is the variant and it’ll first be on sale at the screening June 8. If there are left overs, sales will then go online.

Next, here’s an updated list of films screening in Austin, their ticket on sale dates and more. Tickets go on sale 11 a.m. CST. For all the information and ticket sales go to http://drafthouse.com/1982. Some of the films will also screening in Houston, San Antonio & Winchester, VA but check those theater sites for info.
Also, the badges that go on sale Tuesday  ($80) will only grant admittance to the first eight films listed here, in Austin only.
