Glenn Barr Print Now Available on 1xRUN

This print release is part of Lyric a group exhibition curated by Glenn Barr at 323East Gallery, opening on March 19th. For more info on the group show check out Glenn's website.

We predict that at some point in the future there will appear a book or anthology entitled Glenn Barr's Women - a comprehensive overview of how this preeminent Detroit artist has created numerous portraits of the eternal female and given each one some unique and personal stamp of mystery. We also suspect that this particular damsel will enjoy more than a passing glance should that volume be printed. The subject - a young woman of indeterminate age who has (presumably) taken wing emotionally after hearing a song on her headphones - is infused with that unmistakable aura of sensual melancholy that one frequently detects in a Barr work. She is preoccupied with something - she was "sent" by the music or by a flood of memories to a place where everything made sense. The music is over, the wings themselves appear to be folding, and whatever happens now will be a different song altogether.
